Something nice....

Tonight I thought I should just put together some nice pictures I have collected over the last years.

Once again a picture from my favorite place in the world. Horseid beach in Lofoten. This place is just more than beautiful. The only way to get there is by foot, horse or boat.

The cod I stole from the seal in Lofoten

This picture is of a really big cod I stole from a seal last year. The story is kind of weird and amazing. I was kayaking and a seal was playing with a big fish about a 100 meters ahead. When it saw me it forgot about the fish which was damaged and didn't manage to get back in the deep.

Well.. I paddled very quick over to the fish and grabbed it before the seal understood what happened. It got kind of annoyed because it followed us for about 15 minutes and was making loud irritated noises... Wow.. once in a lifetime experience....

Jack Morten

This is taken two years ago, after a near death experience. I was kayaking alone in the Norwegian sea, far above the Arctic circle and while being a little unconcentrated my kayak went around and the kayak type I used for this trip is not of the ones you can just turn around and get the water out off by yourself. About 20-25 minutes later I managed to get up at a beach and after a few minutes I fell asleep totally exhausted. The water temp was about 8 degrees Celsius and I had only a very thin wetsuit (yes it was stupid). Took this picture when I woke up, just happy to be alive actually :)

Lundebirds

I took this picture some years ago, they are so cute and are called the parrots of the Arctic. Very small and just plain cute...

The Lysekil Aquarium

Today we spent a few hours in and around the Lysekil Aquarium. It's kind of smal, but still preety nice.

And there also was a aquarium that we could put our hands into and take up some crabs, seastars and other cool fish and animals we could touch and bring out of the water and take a closer look at. I guess that was kind of amazing for a little kid of 3,5 years :D

One year ago

I got an email from my x-girlfriend the other day that reminded me that it was exactly one year ago we did run in the Midnight Sun Marathon together in Tromsø....

That is quite a big achievement for me, even though I did not run the hardest of the trails available. But anyway, to say I'm proud of that achievement is a total understatement....

My running partner in the Marathon

Anyway :) I'm pretty sure I'll never run anything like that ever again ;)

Happiness?

Socrates
The ancient Greek philosopher do have a good perspective on happiness, and what that's really about!

Socrates
The Greek Philosopher
He more or less believes this:

"Happiness has to do with how well you work as a human being"

It's about what makes one content and satisfied with life. To function well,  do mean being in control of one self so that one do not become the slave of your own senses. Whether it's those feelings inside you who long for loads of money, sex, wealth, a tough
car, the sexy girlfriend or hansom and ambitious boyfriend, etc. or plain pain like money problems, a though time getting a life partner or just sex, depression, dissatisfaction in your love life, hating your job or you mom in law, etc.and whatever else that make your life suck.

 Jack
The Viking Ascendant

In short.

Avoid those strong desires if you have them or plain out just avoid those strong experiences of the senses. AND be satisfied with what you have in life in general, or just bring with you that tiny ambition at a time to stretch for ...

And what then?

Then you will probably be more then just a little satisfied or a bit happy in life. You will actually be quite more than just a little satisfied and at peace with yourself and your surroundings.

I strongly believe he's right
But the road to the target can often be both steep, and unfortunately quite curved.

Google Translate and a little thought for all and everyone....

Google Translate is a great work tool for me to use, when I'm in doubt of a word or of the spelling of it, but even though feel like English is as naturally for me to write and speak as Norwegian I really DO NEED to change a lot if I translate whole sentences to get them into "proper" English....

One tiny smile from you can make all
the difference in the world
for another person

So I guess my attempts of translating Norwegian or English into languages I don't speak, like Czech, Spanish or Italian and in the same time, since I can not check if they are translated in a right manner. They will probably be outright lousy translations...

In memory - Marius and Joacim

Anyway, we don't live in a perfect world and I, myself for sure is not either perfect or a good writer, BUT I do TRY to be a good person, and I try to take the best care of my friends and of those who are nice to me....  Sometimes I succeed in that, sometimes I don't. But I DO TRY....

Jana, Michelle, Jan, Sigurd, Kjell

And a big gratitude and thank you to all the people who follow this blog and keep a big, medium or a small interest i in my from time to time weird, chaotic and not especially A4 life.... And do remember that even though I don't have much or almost non contact with some of you anymore, my heart and mind will always keep the memories of times long gone....

Silje Evjen

Stay cool, stay safe and remember when you do good, good will always come back to you in one way or another...

And for those of you I have done wrong, please find it in your hearts to forgive me, it may be difficult, myself I still can not forgive a few people who truly did betrayed me with lies or deceived me, like Karina, but please try to be a more forgiving person than me, a better human being then me maybe, and DO try to forgive those who have done you harm...

Why? Being bitter serves no good at all... Right! :)

And that's the end of my philosophical corner this month!
Lets get back to Zumba and all the other the fun stuff  :D

Possibilites

What should I do? So many possibilities, but time stretches simply not to just embrace everything.

My Junker 22 Sailboat
First of all I need to get my sailboat either to Lofoten or to my fathers house in Sweden.

The problem is that there are about 3 weeks sailing from northern Norway to the west coast of Sweden. On the other hand, there are only a three days sailing trip to the Lofoten Islands. But sometime into this summer I need to get it to Sweden for the winter storage.

At the harbor in Aalesund
The guest cabin as it is today

And I must also build up the guest cottage to become a rental object that can generate a regular monthly income on about 6-700 Euro. And that's is a priority, since I expect I will travel quite a lot around the world in the next few years. Both doing Zumba and also purely for the enjoyment of it. But then I need a much bigger and more comfortable sailboat as a base of operations.

Christmas Holiday 2008 Benidorm
But the long term goal this year will be spending Christmas and parts of January and February on the Canary Islands. This picture is from my Christmas Holiday 2008 in Spain. And finally attend the Zumba Instructor winter convention i Germany in February next year.

Summer and bathing...

Borat Mankini picture for fun :)

Since the summer temperatures are racing into the fjords here in Norway, I finally can try out my Mankini on the beach.... Hahaha if I dare that is. I probably won't ;)

Is it the suite or the dude who draws the ladies!

What a day :D

What an truly insane day....

First I went to the Zumba Toning instructor class with Steve Boedt. And that was truly cool and amazing.

My mom?

Then eight of us went to the Masterclass Steve had in a big hall in Stjørdal outside Trondheim. I think it was nearly 200 people attending and the eight of us was dancing with Steve on the stage in different songs.... And Steve is both a Nike Elite Trainer, Rebook Trainer of the year and have 4 different championships... Take a look at the video you guys

---- >

I will make a YouTube clip of the two songs where I was at the stage later, since it fortunately got filmed :)

And especially when he danced the S&M song from Rhianna it was only me and Michal from the ZIN gang dancing with him.... and that was way above UBER COOL....

Finally in the evening we all went out to get a bit of food and relax after a hard day of more or less continuously dancing. And in the evening we all had some more friends to bring into our hearts.....

Back in Lofoten

At last I'm back in Lofoten, to give my best help and advice to all the adventureseeking people who wants to discover this magnificent Island

I did fall down a cliff some weeks ago, but fortunately the hospital let me go a few days ago, almost as good as new....  It was mostley my pride and some braincells who got lost on the way down the mountainside, but laying in a hospitalbed unable to move gives you time to think about what's important in life and not and to get your prioriticing right.

And that's love and work.... As simple and sometimes as complicated as that can be..... :)
