Found this magnificent walkway by a local harbor earlier today. Great pictures and smart solutions, enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Painting :(

Not me, but you get the picture!
I spent all of yesterday painting the boat. It needs a special paint underneath the waterline and another one above the same line. And to be honest so far..... It doesn't look very nice, yet :(  But I do hope that it will look better before Friday when I'm putting here to sea :)

What will be my name?

I still have not given her (the boat) a name so please, if anyone has a good idea for a name, don't hesitate to send it to me by mail, sms or respond in the discussion tread. And eventually she will look like that cruise ship, because it's just so cute :)

I have lost the datatransfering cable so I can't upload any pictures of recent paint jobs, but I will buy a new one as soon as humanly possible :)

Everything had to go

But the rally sad thing is that because the boat was full of water inside this winter, everything inside have to go and I will have to build new furniture, toilet and exactly... EVERYTHING...

Putting the sailboat to sea and sailing it toward Trondheim

Tonight I will drive to Mo i Rana and start to prepare my sailboat for being put on the water.

Mo i Rana by the polar night

And if I have the time I will try to paint the boat almost in the same fashion as the cruise ship I took a picture of at Geiranger. That would be just so cool and make the boat a little "likable" right? :)

Northern light

This is a picture of the Northern Light, and it is taken in Mo i Rana

And I will try to take a lot of pictures of the boat and the transformation of it from a boring little red sailboat to a white "happy and cute" one :)

New sailboat?

Bostrøm 31 Swedish Sailboat
Another Bostrøm 31

I would really like to buy a new sailboat, and I think something like this one, a "Bostrøm 31" would be more or less perfect.

Evening sailing

It has beds for 5 persons and there would be more than enough space for 2 persons to be comfortable on a longer journey. And it is also not to expensive, this one is only 11.000 euro, and that I probably can afford in about 5-6 months time :) And living two months in a sailboat around Christmas at the Canary Islands would be just wonderful, right ;)

Possibilites

What should I do? So many possibilities, but time stretches simply not to just embrace everything.

My Junker 22 Sailboat
First of all I need to get my sailboat either to Lofoten or to my fathers house in Sweden.

The problem is that there are about 3 weeks sailing from northern Norway to the west coast of Sweden. On the other hand, there are only a three days sailing trip to the Lofoten Islands. But sometime into this summer I need to get it to Sweden for the winter storage.

At the harbor in Aalesund
The guest cabin as it is today

And I must also build up the guest cottage to become a rental object that can generate a regular monthly income on about 6-700 Euro. And that's is a priority, since I expect I will travel quite a lot around the world in the next few years. Both doing Zumba and also purely for the enjoyment of it. But then I need a much bigger and more comfortable sailboat as a base of operations.

Christmas Holiday 2008 Benidorm
But the long term goal this year will be spending Christmas and parts of January and February on the Canary Islands. This picture is from my Christmas Holiday 2008 in Spain. And finally attend the Zumba Instructor winter convention i Germany in February next year.
