Something nice....

Tonight I thought I should just put together some nice pictures I have collected over the last years.

Once again a picture from my favorite place in the world. Horseid beach in Lofoten. This place is just more than beautiful. The only way to get there is by foot, horse or boat.

The cod I stole from the seal in Lofoten

This picture is of a really big cod I stole from a seal last year. The story is kind of weird and amazing. I was kayaking and a seal was playing with a big fish about a 100 meters ahead. When it saw me it forgot about the fish which was damaged and didn't manage to get back in the deep. 


Well.. I paddled very quick over to the fish and grabbed it before the seal understood what happened. It got kind of annoyed because it followed us for about 15 minutes and was making loud irritated noises... Wow.. once in a lifetime experience....

This is taken two years ago, after a near death experience. I was kayaking alone in the Norwegian sea, far above the Arctic circle and while being a little unconcentrated my kayak went around and the kayak type I used for this trip is not of the ones you can just turn around and get the water out off by yourself. About 20-25 minutes later I managed to get up at a beach and after a few minutes I fell asleep totally exhausted. The water temp was about 8 degrees Celsius and I had only a very thin wetsuit (yes it was stupid). Took this picture when I woke up, just happy to be alive actually :)

And here is the 2-day trip to my favorite place in the world, Horseid Valley in Lofoten

A part of the map on the wall, our office is situated at Å, where the road ends, and no man has gone before ;)

And at the bottom, the ultimate experience wich I have made possible by convincing my boss to accept as the ultimate experience our firm has to offer. This hike includes everything, Rapeling down a cliff. 4000 year old cavepaintings. Camping on a cliff with the most magnificent view of the midnight sun and the arctic sea. Eating a dinner witch include whalemeat grilled on the campfire. Spending the night in a Lavvo/Sami tent who is 5,4 meters wide! And of course an houre kayaking aswell. By the way there is a picture of me there to. "The ultimate tour, the ultimate guide" ;)

Domani sarà un viaggio a Svolvaer. Visitando i servizi di ispezione e di alcuni altri acquisti.

I dag har det vært fantastisk fint her oppe, strålende solskinn og jeg har innimellom øktene sittet og nytt solen, været og utsiktern fra lesiden av restauranten på Å i Lofoten.....

Oggi, è stato meraviglioso bello qui, il sole brillante e qualche volta ho sab sessioni e un nuovo sole, il clima e utsiktern dal lato sottovento del ristorante ad un .....

Today, has been just wonderful up here in the north, brilliant sunshine and I have between sessions and just a relaxed in the sun, the weather and the view from the lee side of the restaurant here at Å .....

Back in Lofoten

At last I'm back in Lofoten, to give my best help and advice to all the adventureseeking people who wants to discover this magnificent Island

I did fall down a cliff some weeks ago, but fortunately the hospital let me go a few days ago, almost as good as new....  It was mostley my pride and some braincells who got lost on the way down the mountainside, but laying in a hospitalbed unable to move gives you time to think about what's important in life and not and to get your prioriticing right.

And that's love and work.... As simple and sometimes as complicated as that can be..... :)

Deler av kurset minnet meg på da jeg var på Survivaltrening....  Her er to bilde av noe av maten vi spiste den første dagen i sjøen :D

Albueskjell plukket rett nedenfor huset, de hadde en udeffinerbar aromatisk smak, men det kan like mye komme av at kloakken i Reine går urenset ut i havet som at de ble plukket i polare farvann?

Gomito Kjell scelto proprio sotto casa, avevano un sapore aromatico udeffeinerbar, ma potrebbe anche essere dovuto al fatto fogna viene eseguito in non trattati nel mare Reine come sono stati raccolti nelle acque polari?

Aktivitetsleder kurs Vinteren 2010 Lofoten

Tog til Bodø

Sitter hjemme og venter på at nattoget til Bodø skal gå klokken 23:35.... Hadde egentlig tenkt å kjøre oppover etter Zumbatimen min, men det snør og uler og blåser og det blir bare helt håpløst og kjøre i 10-11 timer på såpeglatte veier i mørket. Så i stedet ble det nattog og fly tilbake søndag kveld.

Gleder meg til aktivitetslederkurset som starter på torsdag. MEN på den annen side så er det noe helt annet å være i fjorden i kajakk når det er sommer og sol enn nå som det skifter mellom storm og beinhard vinter eller mild vår fra dag til dag og nesten så det er fra time til time.

Det er dette vi venter på og lengter etter....   :)

Lofoten September 2010

Then the September trip to Lofoten is finished. The colors of the fall were slowly getting stronger and stronger, and the big arctic mosquitoes was finally a forgotten chapter ....

A magnificent view of Kjerkfjorden

This photo was taken one of the last day from the top of Mount Reinebringen. In the back of the picture you can faintly see Einangen (passway) through Horseid and one can barely make out the little village of Kjerkfjorden innermost in the fjord.

Myrsund - Lofoten Islands - Norway

Here is a picture from Mysund by Nappstraumen, it was awesome to see how the meeting between cold and warm air created swirling clouds of nothing out of the rock in the background.

Høstens siste Lofottur

Da er det klart for den siste turen til Lofoten i år, Helge og meg tar oss en liten uke på tur, og det blir sikkert bra. 


Ole Christian har stilt huset til disposisjon og Roger mente det var fullt mulig og tromme sammen noen folk for en liten fest. Bra :)

I tillegg må jeg hente sykkelen min som står lent inntill en høyspentmast  på einangen over Vorfjorden og kanskje ta meg en siste tur opp på Reinebringen.

Lenge siden sist jeg blogget, men har rett og slett ikke vært i nærheten av gode nok nett til å logge opp bilder... Men her kommer noen få fra Kajakkturen til Kathrine, Silje, Tore og meg! Synd det ikke var flere som kunne være med, for turen var en opplevelse for livet!

Noen fine dager i Lofoten, sol og stort sett fint vær....

Kajakker er bestillt for de som ikke hadde det og jeg er snart på vei til en uke survivaltrening på Høgskolen i Bodø og rett etter det en halvmarathon i Tromsø!

Mye og gjøre med andre ord :) Men her er i det minste noen bilder. Første er av en hane fra Stamsundtrakten...

Det andre er av to ravner som svevet rundt blant bjergene på Ballstad...

Her er bilen min klar for overnatting i Saltdalen langsmed E6

Og her ser vi tuppen av Moskenesøy, Mosken midtveis mellom Lofotlandet og Værøy og Værøy innhyllet i skodde til venstre i midten av bildet.

Jeg ser virkelig fram til og gleder meg til paddleturen om en måned.... Håper bare været er med oss, men juli bør jo være rimelig safe... Og alt det spennende som vi skal møte som......:
